space saving ideas for static caravan

Whilst modern static caravans are much more roomy and spacious than the old fashioned designs, you still want to make the most of every single square inch of your holiday home.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of some of the clever space saving ideas we’ve found to be helpful in having a caravan stay that’s jam packed with fun, without being jam packed with clutter.

Our top space saving tips

Storage tables

Coffee tables or footstools that have hidden storage compartments not only give you beautiful pieces of furniture to adorn your static caravans with, but they double up as much needed storage space! Investing in peces like this means you can tidy away magazines, remotes, chargers or any other messy bits that clutter up your caravan.

Utility bench

A storage utility bench is the perfect place to tidy away coats, hats, scarves and shoes - even wellies - all in one place.

Magnetic storage hangers

If your kitchen cupboards are already filled, magnetic storage solutions that you fasten to the walls are a great little trick for creating more storage space. With these you can hang up utensils, cups and pans and if you’re clever with it, you can turn your kitchen parts into a bit of a display!

Ottoman beds

We adore ottoman beds because they lift up to reveal huge amounts of storage and are the perfect place to keep your bedding, towels and anything you like! You simply close it back down and everything is hidden away while you sleep! Perfect.

Vacuum packs

Vacuum storage bags are a revolutionary way of storing your things. With these at your disposal, you can flat pack bulky bedding, towels and clothes when you’re travelling or staying in your holiday caravan, and things can easily fit under the bed or take up a small space in the wardrobe.

Space saving dining

Adding a seating area or counter top to the back of your sofa means you may not need a dining table at all, leaving you with more space. Or if you do want a dedicated dining table, you can find options that are designed to house the chairs underneath when they’re not in use. This not only looks tidy but gives you more room to manoeuvre around your caravan.
