    Ballyhalbert Holiday Park

Welcome to Ballyhalbert Holiday Park! This holiday park has its own mini golf course, multipurpose clubhouse and ice cream parlour, making it an excellent choice for families looking for a seaside holiday.

With a sandy beach, beautiful harbour and views to die for (on a clear day Scotland and the Isle of Man are visible from the village!) Ballyhalbert is a historic village full of charm, fun activities and epic scenery. The harbour plays host to a range of water sports, specifically Jet Skis but for those who like to take things a little easier, the sandy beach is perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Those who want to learn more about the village’s history can visit an 800 year old castle motte, a standing stone and the ruins of a church from the 1600s, all in the heart of Ballyhalbert. Ballyhalbert Holiday Park is actually built on a disused airfield that was created during the Second World War to protect Belfast and the eastern half of Northern Ireland.

Close to Ballyhalbert Holiday Park is Glastry Nature Reserve which is home to a number of lakes formed by digging clay for the nearby Glastry Brickworks.

Ballyhalbert Holiday Park is a beautiful site and if you’re looking for a thoroughly family friendly location you can’t go wrong purchasing a holiday home here.

    Other on-park facilities include:

    • Children’s play area
    • Laundrette
    • 12 Month Holiday Season
    • Site Fee 2021 from £1834.41

With all this right on your doorstep, there’s fun to be had by all the family.

Helping you feel safe and secure is important to us, so this gated park has CCTV and on-site park managers always on hand to help and assist when ever you need them.

The best things to do around Ballyhalbert holiday park and village

If you’re planning a trip to Ballyhalbert holiday park and village you might be wondering what you can do onsite or in the surrounding area. Positioned on the East coast or Ards Peninsula Ballyhalbert has lots to see and do.

If you’re planning a trip check out our recommended attractions below.

Take a tour around historic Ballywalter Park

Surrounded by 30 acres of pleasure gardens and sat in the middle of a 170 acres of Irish countryside, Ballywalter Park is a working country manor in the Italianate Palazzo style which runs regular house tours around its 12 bedroom house.

The house itself is still in the hands of its owners and the provide teamed up with local historians and stately homes experts to provide the best tours possible on the premises.

Gaze over the Irish Sea at Burr Point

Stand at the Eastern most point of Ireland at Burr Point. Take in the bracing sea air and spy Scotland and the Isle of man whilst enjoying a picnic. The point, which used to be a Danish burial site, is now a busy nesting ground for Terns. So bird watchers bring your binoculars.

Go on a day trip to Portaferry

Known for fishing, it’s historical sites and triathlons, Portaferry has a lot going on. Whilst you might not be too keen to take on a triathlon the town boasts beautiful sea views, and a big oyster and mussel industry. So foodies pack a knife and fork for some seaside seafood by the sea.

History buffs can check out the Grade A listed portico building which is styled after a greek temple. For the kids the
Exploris Aquarium is a great day out
