Our tips for making your static caravan feel like home

27 October 2020

So you’ve bought your very own static caravan - congratulations! Now the fun can really begin. One of the most exciting aspects of owning your very own caravan is putting your own stamp on it. Here are some of our top tips for making your new static caravan really feel like home…

Display family photos

There’s no better way to make a space feel like home than by hanging family photos. Not only do pictures in general make a caravan feel cosier, seeing your loved ones whilst you make your morning coffee or whilst you’re watching TV is a lovely feeling. Personal touches like these really make a difference and can really cement the idea that this is your home rather than just a temporary holiday rental.

Bring knick-knacks from home

Bringing a few personal items to your new static caravan is a great way to make it feel like home. Whether that’s a couple of your favourite mugs, some ornaments or small pieces of furniture is completely up to you. It’s just nice to be surrounded by familiar items that remind you of home!

Add soft furnishings

Cushions, pillows, throws and rugs - they happen to be our favourite type of decor and with good reason. Your holiday home should reflect your own personal style and soft furnishings are the perfect way to do that. You can inject a pop of colour with a well placed cushion and things like throws are great for getting comfy and cosy in the evening.

Wallpaper/Paint

When you first move into a house, one of the first things you do is redecorate. The existing decor may be lovely but it might not be to your specific taste. Your caravan is no different! Whether you want to wallpaper or paint a few walls, matching your caravan decor to your own style goes a long way in making it feel like a proper home.
