Easter egg hunt

Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th, Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th April

The Jungle’s Easter Egg Hunt has been pushed back because of COVID-19 but is still as jam-packed with fun as usual. It includes a number of clues and puzzles and you’ll need to make your way through the enchanted forest to answer the riddles in the hope that you might find the missing eggs at the end of the trail.

You’ll get to meet an array of friendly creatures in the Woodland Petting Farm including chicks, lambs and piglets.

It takes about 60 minutes to complete and there’s a variety of hot food, savoury snacks and tasty nibbles, in addition to both hot and cold drinks to leave you refreshed.

Easter walks

There are a variety of springtime walks that are suitable for family members of all ages. Here are a few of our favourite walks to do:

Rowallane Garden

There’s no better place to experience the scents, sights and sounds of nature in spring than at Rowallane Garden.

Florence Court Red Trail

This is a trail through the forest park at Florence Court where you’ll get views across Fermanagh and beyond at its peak.

Crom Wildlife Walk

This nature reserve boasts tranquil landscape of islands, woodland and historic ruins. Such a lovely walk!

Castle Coole Beech Trail

A highlight of the walk through Beech Wood at Castle Coole, is getting to see the 18th century Ice House.

Easter fun at home

We appreciate that this time is a little uncertain for people right now so if you don’t feel comfortable venturing out to public events there is so much Easter fun to be had at home!

Home baking

One of the great things about Easter is the tasty treats! As it's the end of the Lent you can indulge guilt-free!

Some of our favourite Easter themed treats include:

  • Chocolate Easter egg nest - basically cornflake cakes with mini eggs on tops!
  • Easter bunny chocolate cupcakes
  • Rocky road tray bake - with added mini eggs!
  • Bunny twist bakes
  • Hot cross buns

Make Easter bonnets

Is there anything more Easter themed than an Easter bonnet? It’s a perfect excuse to get crafty with the kids and it’s a perfect indoor activity if the weather isn’t great!

Your own Easter egg hunt at home

If you can’t make it out to a public Easter egg hunt - make your own at home! Hide eggs around the house and if you have one, the garden, and create a little map for the kids to follow. Throw up some decorations and you’ve got yourself a fun day inside!
