Ballygally Beach, Larne

If you fancy a quick walk to stretch your legs then you can’t beat a stroll down Ballygally Beach in Larne. Located on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland, 10 km north of Larne, this sandy beach is only about 300-metres long but despite its size, it really packs a punch. On a clear day you can see as far as Scotland but even with the clouds you’ll get fantastic views of the Antrim coast and the amazing Scawt Hill and Sallagh Braes.

Murlough Beach, Newcastle

Murlough Beach and Nature Reserve is a five-mile stretch of golden sand that is overlooked by the impressive Mourne Mountains. This beach looks completely different depending on the time of year you visit so you’ll never get bored of visiting.

Benone Beach, County Derry

You can stand at one end of this beach and as you look out you’ll see golden sand stretching out as far as the eye can see. Whilst you’re here you might even forget you’re still in Northern Ireland and think you’ve stepped into a paradise halfway across the globe.

White Park Bay, Portrush

Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast is beautiful and White Park Bay features a  stunning strand backed by limestone cliffs and offers incredible views of Dunluce Castle. One of the peculiar highlights of visiting White Park Bay is the resident cows you’ll probably see. They’re very friendly!
