pet friendly holiday homes

We welcome all your furry friends to our holiday parks in Northern Ireland meaning when you fancy a little getaway, you don’t have to leave your pal behind. But don’t think they’ll just be stuck in and around your holiday home, the surrounding area is extremely dog friendly and here’s just a taste of what you and your four-legged friend can enjoy...

Dog friendly pubs and restaurants

County Down is filled with so many dog friendly pubs and restaurants and even though the spread of COVID-19 has meant restrictions and closures, when these restrictions are lifted, they’ll still be here to welcome you and your pooch.

Our favourites include:

Paws 4 Tea in Dundrum is an ideal resting spot after a long walk exploring the Mournes. They offer refreshments for both you and your pet - even making doggy woofles!

Pier 36 is a multi award-winning bar and restaurant where dogs on a lead are welcome in the bar and outside where water and bowls are provided. The bar area has a traditional open fire, perfect for warming your and your pooch if you’ve been on a windy coastal walk! You can grab Guinness and even sample some fresh local seafood with your dog right beside you.

The Salty Dog Hotel and Bistro is a dog friendly bar that boasts beautiful views of Bangor Bay. They always have doggie treats on hand and the dog loving staff will probably have to give your dog a few pets as they pass! This place is great for beachcombers after a dry off with dedicated rooms for dog owners.

Hugh McCann's is a great pit stop after a brisk walk along the Newcastle promenade, where you can get a tasty bite to eat and relax with your pooch in the Hogg Snog.

Nearby dog walks

Is there anything better than taking a long stroll out in the fresh air with your best four-legged friend? And there’s plenty of beautifully scenic walks just a stone's throw away from our holiday parks.

Here are some of our favourite dog walking routes you can enjoy:

The Antrim Cliff Path to Dunseverick Castle is a 5-mile section of the much longer Causeway Coast Way that gives you stunning cliff and sea views. If your dog loves the beach they’ll be happy having a run around on the golden sands of Benone or Downhill. If you’re looking to properly tire out your pooch a run along the strand at Portstewart should do it!

Big Dog Forest Walk is aptly named and is part of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark, allowing you to explore some beautiful landscapes.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed walking route you can’t beat a stroll through the grounds of Florence Court. The National Trust estate is surrounded by a large area of parkland, garden and woodland, offering breathtaking views to Benaughlin and the Cuilcagh Mountains!
