Hailed as a “pocket-sized paradise” it’s so easy to fall in love with Northern Ireland. This part of the world has so much to offer and if you’re planning a trip to Northern Ireland, here are our favourite natural wonders to explore...



Mourne Mountains

The Mourne Mountains 


The Mourne Mountains are made up of twelve summits that consist of lakes, granite tors and forest. The colours of the mountains change depending on what time of year you go but you’ll never be disappointed. Mourne Mountains are so epic that on a clear day you can even see them from Dublin, The Isle of Man and Scotland!


Marble Arch Caves


The Marble Arch Caves are best visited on a rainy day. Located in County Fermanagh, a downpour really brings the caves to life and you'll experience epic echoes and groans as well as cascading waters and the boom of torrent rivers forging through the passages. You can still visit on a dry day where you can enjoy a subterranean boat trip as part of your tour. 


The Ring of Gullion 


Formed around 58 million years ago, the Ring of Gullion is an extremely unique find in Northern Ireland, or the UK for that matter. How it was formed isn’t quite known, despite scientists trying their best to figure it out - I guess we just put it down to the magic of nature...


Lough Neagh


Nature lovers will adore Lough Neagh, 160 square miles of beautiful and haunting wilderness of water and surrounding wetlands set in the heart of Northern Ireland. Spend time spotting plants and wildlife in this packed ecosystem or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll.


The Glens of Antrim 


The Glens of Antrim are made up of nine separate, yet equally exquisite glens. Each of the glens has its own name, personality and charm and tumbling waterfalls, rich woodland, slopes, cliffs and shores will surely take your breath away. The colours you'll find here are amazing! 


Rathlin Island


Looking for untouched and untamed beauty? A short boat trip from the mainland will take you to Rathlin Island where you will find nature in its most rugged form. There are stunning views of the Antrim coastline, the Scottish island of Islay and the Mull of Kintyre plus lots of birds to spot!
